MTurk aka Amazon Mechanical Turk is a renowned micro job's platform developed by Amazon where requesters(employers) request to complete HITs(Human Intelligence Tasks) and get results according to their requests. This giant micro jobs website is in the business since 2005 and since then hundreds of thousands of workers have been registered there until now.
If you want to earn $5/hour doing some micro jobs such as transcribing, rating, image tagging, taking part in surveys, and writing then MTurk is probably the best choice. Though their policy of accepting HITs(jobs) is a bit strict and there are two or three payment options available for receiving payments, nevertheless Amazon Mechanical Turk holds the number one spot on our list of 5 legitimate micro job sites.
Minimum Payout: $3.00

2. Microworkers
Microworkers is one of the most popular micro job sites of recent times. Simple user interface, five payment options including Paypal for receiving payments and flexibility of accepting jobs makes Microworkers the easiest micro tasking website. You can earn up to $5/day just by working for 2 hours on this website.
Workers have to maintain their success rate above 75% at all times to be able to accept jobs and have to go through an address verification process at the time of placing their first withdrawal request which takes 1-4 weeks(depends on mailing services and locations) to complete. Despite this hassles, Microworkers is still a powerful contender of MTurk and therefore achieves the 2nd place on our list of 5 legit micro job sites.

3. Rapidworkers
Rapidworkers is one of the best alternatives to Microworkers. This website has a cool feature which allows workers to filter jobs according to location, time, rate etc. In terms of job's availability, this micro tasking platform is simply the best. Having said that their available jobs list is full of crappy job posts. Regardless of those crappy job posts, there still be 10-20 jobs available to you which are definitely more than enough.Needless to say, workers from the USA can earn more from this micro jobs website as they get more jobs and higher rates for completing tasks. Nevertheless, there are still enough opportunities in this micro jobs platform for international workers to earn up to $20-30/month working for 2 hours a day.
Minimum Payout: $8.00 + fee.
Payment Options: Paypal.
4. Minijobz
Minijobz is the first micro jobs website to introduce referral system and signup bonus. Workers can earn by completing available jobs as well as referring new members to the website. As for signup bonus, the amount is $1, non-withdrawable and can only be used to start a new campaign. Overall, Minijobz is simply one of a kind. This is another USA workers friendly website just like Rapidworkers. The best thing about Minijobz is that it allows workers to re-submit a task that has already been rated 'not satisfied' by the employer. There are also three free membership levels. Basic, Silver, and Golden. Silver & Golden members will not be charged for deposit and withdraw fees. Cool isn't it?
Minimum Payout: $5.00 + fee.
Payment Options: Payza, Paypal.
[Note: Fee is only applicable to basic members.]
Update : Recently I upgraded my Minijobz membership which cost me $5. According to the upgraded membership plan I supposed to receive more jobs but in reality it is not even providing a single job to me. Now the question is 'Is Minijobz a scam?'. May be, but i recommend not to signup on that website until the next update i make to my blog post.
5. Picoworkers
According to my experience, earning the first $10 in Picoworkers was really very difficult. But once worker completes earning the first $10 and places first withdrawal request, Picoworkers then verifies the address of the worker and gives points upon completing the verification process which paves the way for receiving more jobs and more earnings. The best part of Picoworkers is that it ensures jobs availability according to the level of the account.
Minimum Payout: $5.00 + fee.
Payment Options: Amazon Gift Card, US Bank Cheque, Crypto Currency, Paypal, Paysafecard.com, Payza, Skrill.
There can be no specific answer to this question. Frankly speaking, to some people Microworkers is the best micro jobs website whereas to some people it is MTurk. Let's leave it up to you to decide :)
